GARDENS OF THE MOON
For this festival I decided to prepare a few my own songs together with the chamber orchestra. When organizers of the festival TAI – AŠ invited songwriter Laurent Secco from France, I offered him to join us. He was enthusiastic about that, although he's been doubtful about the name GARDENS OF THE MOON. But after I told him the main idea of Vilius Dintsmanas's poem, which sounded like the lines ”I am longing for you, when the roses don't flower in the moon... and gardens don't flower in the moon, when we are gone", all the doubts were gone. We collected the most beautiful our songs and added the songs written by other authors from France (Carles Trenet, Jacques Brel, Claude Nougaro and others) songs to one serenade. With the strings, Tomas Varnagiris's band and special gardens of the light we are going to try to plant roses in the moon.
Hard work is going on while preparing scores for orchestra.
